Consultations and training

Build it right. Then learn to run it.

Two things: paid consultations on building your perfect firearm, budget or high end, and firearms training delivered online or in person. Both start with the inquiry form below. Daniel calls you back to set a session up around where you are and what you want to work on. There is no live booking on this site.

What we offer

A consultation, training, or both.

Say which one on the form. Plenty of people want both, and that is a normal answer.

  • Paid consultation

    Building your perfect firearm

A paid consultation on the build you are planning, from a budget build that has to earn every dollar to a high end build where the question is which of several good answers is right for you. We work through the platform, the purpose, and the money, and you come away knowing what to buy and in what order.

    Components we work through

    • Optic
    • Light
    • Laser
    • Stock
    • Foregrip
    • Trigger

Optic, light, laser, stock, foregrip, trigger, and the rest of what hangs off the gun.

    Who it is for

Anyone staring at a parts list, anyone who has been told six different things by six different people, and anyone about to spend real money on a first build.

PricingQuoted on the call, once we know the platform, the budget, and how much of the build you want a hand with.

  • Training

    Online and in person

We offer both. In person training is rounds downrange with someone watching what your hands are doing. Online training is live over video for everything that does not need a range: dry fire, grip and trigger diagnosis, gear decisions, and planning a range day that is worth the ammunition.

Basics covered, online or in person

    • Loading, unloading, and racking
    • Hand placement and proper grip
    • Sight alignment, iron and optic
    • Proper stance and stance techniques
    • Breakdown, lubrication, and cleaning

The full basics list, with what each one covers, is further down this page.

    Who it is for

First time shooters who want a safe first day, carriers who have never trained past a qualification, and experienced shooters who want to stop repeating the same mistake.

In personArranged on the call, around where you are. That is why the form asks for your city.

OnlineLive over video. You need a safe space to dry fire and a phone or a laptop we can see you through.

What a session costs and how long it runs both depend on which of the two you are after, whether it runs online or in person, and what you want out of it, so they get settled on the call rather than guessed at here. Send an inquiry and Daniel works it through with you.

Training philosophy

Three things, and the third one never finishes.

  1. 01

    Understanding and mastering the fundamentals

    • Treat every gun as if it is loaded.
    • Know your target and what is beyond it.
    • Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
  2. 02

    Staying consistent

    • Train often and with intent, in various environments: indoor, outdoor, and simulation.
    • At least one live fire session per month, plus dry fire practice a couple of times a week.
    • That cadence gets adjusted to your experience and your goals.
  3. 03

There is always more to learn

    • Techniques evolve, laws change, and environments change.
    • Keep improving across all platforms: pistol, rifle, shotgun, and others.
“Practice does not make perfect, it makes better, and better can make the difference in a life and death situation.”

Basic training

What the basics cover.

Every one of these can be worked online or in person. Where you start depends on what you already do well, which is what the first conversation is for.

  • Loading, unloading, and racking

Getting the gun loaded, unloaded, and back into battery without thinking about it, every time.

  • Hand placement and proper grip

Where the hands go and why, and what a grip that actually controls recoil feels like.

  • Sight alignment, iron and optic

Aligning irons, and running an optic, including what changes when you move between the two.

  • Proper stance and stance techniques

A stance that holds up when you move, and the techniques that go with it.

  • Breakdown, lubrication, and cleaning

Taking it apart properly, lubricating it properly, and putting it back together the same way every time.

How it works

  1. 01

    You send an inquiry

The form at the bottom of this page. Tell us whether you want a consultation, training, or both, where you are, and what you want out of it.

  2. 02

    Daniel calls you

A real phone call, not an automated calendar link. That is where the questions get asked and the plan gets made.

  3. 03

    You agree the session

What you are working on, where it happens, whether it is online or in person, and what it costs. Nothing is committed before that.

  4. 04

    You train, or you build

Either you shoot, get diagnosed, and shoot again, or you walk out with a component list you can actually buy against.

All four steps start in the same place: the form at the bottom of this page. Say what you want to work on and roughly where you are, and the rest is what the call is for.

Send an inquiry

Send an inquiry and Daniel will call you.

There is no booking system on this site and no calendar to fight with. Send the form, get a call from a person, and settle the details together: consultation or training, online or in person, and what makes sense where you are.

Before you build

Already know what you need? Start with optics and lights and lasers, or read the range log.

The follow up is a call.

So we can talk about what is realistic near you.

What you want to work on, what you already shoot, and roughly when you are free. If this is a build, tell us the platform and the budget you have in mind.

This form sends an inquiry, not a booking. Nothing is scheduled and nothing is charged until we have talked.
